Brooke Stamp and Sidney McMahon continue their collaboration at ACE Open with new work in progress, Trying to hold it.

Responding to the site of McMahon’s solo show Of sorrow and release, their work will reflect on the slippery forces of holding it, and our permissions to deflate.

Stamp and McMahon have collaborated since 2017 on projects across Australia including Spells of Temporal Stasis at The Walls (2017), Real Real # 2 at Campbelltown Arts Centre (2018), and An enactment of its own (burning) poetics at Neon Parc (2018).

Brooke Stamp is an Australian based dancer, performer and choreographer. Her artistic career spans two-decades of inquiry in dance bridging visual art, sound-performance, writing and dramaturgy, alongside a prolific contributions to collaborative presentation for theatre and museum worldwide.
