JESS TAYLOR is an Adelaide based artist. Born in 1990, Jess attended Adelaide Central School of Art, graduating with First Class Honours in 2013. In 2016, she commenced a Masters by Research at the University of South Australia, graduating in 2018. Her work explores her fascination with the horror genre, with a particular interest in monsters, the voyeuristic gaze and its weaponisation against the female body, and depictions of female brutality, sadism and masochism.
