Join us for the first ever exhibition to be presented by South Australia’s newest contemporary art organisation. Stepping away from the stretcher and the frame as the ‘container’ of the painted form, Christian Lock presents BLACKFLAG, an immersive collection of new works, which sensualises the political, historical and social representation of the form of black and its ambiguous symbolisation as shade and motif.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Born in 1969, Christian Lock completed a Masters of Visual Art, South Australian School of Art, Architecture and Design, Adelaide (2007); and was the recipient of the Anne & Gordon Samstag International Visual Arts Scholarship in 2013, where he spent 12 months studying as a visiting scholar at Parsons School of Art and Design, New York, in 2014. Represented by GAGPROJECTS | Greenaway Art Gallery.
