Join artist Margaret Dodd and Art Gallery of South Australia Curator of Contemporary Art Leigh Robb for a special-event screening of the feminist tour de force and “quintessential Australian horror movie (Glenys Rowe)”, Dodd’s This Woman is Not a Car (1982).

This event will include an insightful conversation between Dodd and Robb, as well as the screening of a film that has greatly inspired the artist’s filmmaking and practice, Maya Deren’s Meshes of the Afternoon from 1943.

This program is a collaboration between ACE Open and Art Gallery of South Australia, celebrating Margaret Dodd’s current exhibition at ACE Open, curated by Susan Charlton, and the inclusion of her work in the new display of Australian Art at the Art Gallery of South Australia.
