Join an audio described and tactile tour of two exhibitions at ACE Open this SALA Festival.

Iconic South Australian ceramicist Gerry Wedd’s SONGS FOR A ROOM presents more than 1000 handmade tiles and domestic objects in a dizzyingly opulent installation. Award-winning South Australian artist Julia McInerney traverses literature and sculpture in The Garden, a monochromatic installation of hand-carved Applewood sculptures, hand-cast concrete tiles, and large scale photographs.

This event invites people who are blind or vision impaired to engage further with ACE Open’s two 2018 South Australian Artist Commission exhibitions. An audio described tour of the exhibitions will be followed by a tactile learning experience, featuring artworks and objects that have inspired each exhibition.

This event is free to attend, and bookings are essential. Please call ACE Open on 8211 7505 to book.
